The United Human Federation is the Faction followed throughout arc 1 and 2 of TAS and is the faction the main character, Thea Mckay, belongs to.
The UHF was created in the year 213 PFC in the Orionis Sector when the O-13 council proclaimed themselves distinct from the faction Humanity's Fold. The UHF, under the leadership of Aeliana Voltaire, Theron Xenios, and Titus Ignis, committed a coup against their parent faction, annexing the majority of the territory that was once owned by their parent faction. It is to note however that during the coup a large amount of their territory was taken by both the
The UHF is a Meritocracy led by the O-13 council composed of the most adept individuals within the faction. The O-13 council is not limited to 13 members.
The population of the UHF is estimated at 2.24 Trillion people with the UHF currently having control of 1,300-1,400 inhabited planets.
Within the military in the UHF there is an estimated 14.63 Billion people within their fighting force which are non-integrated and then a further 3.81 Billion integrated fighting force for the UHF.

The UHF operates on the foundational tenet that large-scale human involvement in the ongoing galactic war is unnecessary. Instead, the faction posits that efforts should be primarily directed towards the preservation of human life, while simultaneously enhancing their integrated military capabilities.
The UHF places a high premium on the intrinsic value of individual skills and abilities over a mass of people; this is linked to their faction trait, allowing any high value Ace for the UHF to be revived after being killed, letting them learn from past mistakes and making the effort put into nurturing them have better results.
The UHF's military and developmental efforts are primarily concentrated on Core and Inner Worlds. However, recent internal advocacy has championed the inclusion of Mid-worlds into the UHF sphere of influence. This is thought to be of James McKay a retired UHF general who may of advocated for the inclusion for his daughter Thea Mckay
This has materialized in the form of the first official recruitment drive for Mid-worlds initiated in a subsection of UHF-controlled space. The outcomes of this initiative are yet to be ascertained however the quality of incoming recruits, from anywhere in the bubble is increasing as time till the bubble popping approaches
The UHF has set themselves up to have "cycles" in waning and waxing borders. The UHF doesn't necessarily care whether they win or lose during a waning cycle, as they use the period to allow new marines to gain experience. They then do a hard push during the following waxing cycle to take it all back and push forward.
Contrary to other factions, the UHF's primary ground force consists exclusively of integrated soldiers, known as UHF Marines. While these Marines constitute the backbone of the UHF's military might, they are not its only asset.
The UHF Navy and UHF Armored Division deploy a diverse mix of integrated and unintegrated soldiers. This hybrid model is dictated by the logistical constraints of manning Battleships, Cruisers, and Capital Ships, as there are insufficient integrated soldiers to fulfill these roles entirely.
Members of these areas are on a need to know basis for the System and those who are required to know about the system sign a contract with the UHF for knowledge about the system however they are under the same restriction as other integrated people sharing the existence of the system.
This setup for their military is intended to give them an advantage post integration. While the baseline for integrating any person within the System is the same, because of their doctrine each member will quickly become an elite or an ACE since none of them will truly die as long as they manage their Merit well. In higher tier Battle fields the UHF has the advantage since their marines have more experience then other soldiers at the same tier.
The UHF's modus operandi prioritizes terrestrial engagements, capitalizing on their collective experience to gain upper hand in direct confrontations. Their specialized unit, the UHF Marines, boasts a remarkably lower mortality rate when compared to other integrated forces across human-controlled territories.
While the Faction Trait provides UHF Marines with substantial advantages, including decreased mortality and enhanced integration rates, the total number of integrated soldiers remains insufficient. This deficiency is attributed to persistent logistical challenges that have historically plagued the UHF.
Given the constraints of their military composition, which exclusively fields integrated soldiers, the UHF compensates by placing a heightened focus on individual combat proficiency. This is further augmented by their roster of "Aces," elite fighters who consistently outperform their counterparts in other factions.
However this emphasis on individual skill, and wanting to have everyone be an Ace and mixed with their faction trait has caused The UHF to be the faction with the most dedicated ACE hunter teams assigned against it in any one battlefield.
